Sleep disorders

Can’t fall asleep? Or do you wake up several times a night and have trouble getting back to sleep?
If this happens only occasionally, it’s perfectly normal. However, if people experience this regularly a few times a week, we call it a sleep disorder. The onset can have various causes. A few consecutive sleepless nights can lead to a neural pattern. This means the brain gets used to lying awake and also automates physical processes.
The resulting daytime fatigue is extremely debilitating. Difficulty concentrating, listlessness in daily life, severe irritability, susceptibility to illness, increased risk of accidents, burnout, etc., are just a few of the consequences of sleep disorders. It can get to the point where people, unfortunately, increasingly turn to sleep medications, and an absurd dependence on pills can develop in no time.
This poor sleep quality has massive effects on our health. The immune system, hormone regulation, nutrient metabolism, digestive functions, and the autonomic nervous system (e.g., sympathetic and parasympathetic) are severely negatively impacted.
Of course, this makes sense to you, and you’re right to wonder what can be done about it. Is there even anything that can be done? Wouldn’t it be great if there were a button you could just press to make the sleep disorders disappear?
Well, we’ve found that there is a kind of button. Yes, admittedly, it takes a bit of practice. And not everyone is willing to put in the effort to practice it—that’s clear. Many people have already been able to easily resolve their sleep disturbances with our help. To do so, however, we first need to determine what kind of sleep problems you have. Is it due to incessant rumination, because you don’t feel comfortable in bed, or perhaps because of a health issue?
At the free information sessions offered by the RLS Sleep Solutions Centers, you can find out whether it’s possible for you, too, to finally sleep well again and wake up feeling refreshed.
